Our client base (which consists of either a cancer patient, a caregiver or a person who is grieving the loss of a loved one to cancer) is built upon referrals from physicians, churches and personal inquiries. Each client receives an “in-take” interview in their home by our Client Coordinator and our Volunteer Coordinator. The purpose is to assess the individual’s or family’s unique needs. Every client is then matched with a trained volunteer who will walk with them, a prayer partner who will pray for them and a card partner who will routinely send them cards of encouragement. Hope Cancer Ministries services are all free of charge and regardless of religious affiliation.
